Head of Management Services Audit

About the role

The Bank of Punjab is seeking a senior professional to head its Management Services Audit function in Lahore. This role provides independent assurance on governance, strategic initiatives, and internal controls across the bank, reporting directly to the Chief Internal Auditor and the Board Audit Committee.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Management Services Audit team throughout risk assessment, audit planning, execution, reporting and follow‑up.
• Develop and implement a risk‑based audit plan aligned with the bank’s overall audit strategy.
• Assess the adequacy of controls over financial and management information used for planning, monitoring and reporting.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and report significant issues to senior management and the Board.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to provide advisory services and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with State Bank of Pakistan regulations, IIA standards and internal methodologies.
• Approve audit scopes and budgets, and maintain overall budgetary control of engagements.
• Develop team capabilities through training, coaching and performance management.

Required profile

• Minimum MBA, M.Com., MSc in Accounting/Finance, CA, ACCA or CBA from a recognized university.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CICA or CISA are preferred.
• 09–12 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in internal audit.
• Age not exceeding 55 years as of 08 July 2026.
