HR Generalist

About the role

Wärtsilä is seeking an HR Generalist to support day‑to‑day HR operations and employee lifecycle activities. The role will focus on maintaining HR data integrity, assisting payroll and benefits processes, and serving as a primary contact for employees and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of SAP SuccessFactors and local HR Information Systems, ensuring accurate employee records and organizational data.
• Provide first‑level support for HRIS, self‑service transactions, and resolve employee inquiries.
• Administer employee documentation throughout hiring, onboarding, changes, and off‑boarding.
• Support monthly payroll processes through data validation, audit checks, and discrepancy resolution.
• Administer benefits programs, including medical and life insurance, claims processing, and statutory benefits such as Social Security and EOBI.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR governance requirements.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills to support employees and managers.
• Experience handling HR administration, payroll, and benefits processes.
• Knowledge of relevant labor legislation and statutory reporting.
