Individual Consultant – Institutional Strengthening (BRAVE-IS)

About the role

DAI Pakistan is building a roster of individual consultants for the BRAVE‑IS programme, an FCDO‑funded initiative that strengthens federal, provincial and district institutions to anticipate and manage climate and disaster risks across Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance on Climate‑Smart Public Investment Reform, Anticipatory Disaster Management, and Climate & Disaster Risk Finance.
• Translate technical analysis into concrete policy and operational reforms.
• Support capacity‑building activities for government agencies at national and sub‑national levels.
• Deliver short‑ or long‑term assignments on an as‑needed basis across multiple provinces and districts.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., climate science, disaster risk management, public finance).
• Senior‑level experience working with federal or provincial government institutions in Pakistan.
• Proven track record of turning technical analysis into implemented reforms.
• Strong understanding of Pakistan’s climate, disaster risk, and public finance landscape.
• Prior experience with development partners such as FCDO, World Bank, UNDP, ADB, or USAID.
