Information Management Officer

About the role

The Information Management Officer (IMO) will be the technical lead for linking DHIS2, health and nutrition information systems, and other UNICEF‑supported platforms in Balochistan. The role focuses on ensuring data quality, integration, real‑time monitoring and institutionalisation within government systems to support evidence‑based public health decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen and sustain DHIS2 and integrated health & nutrition information systems.
• Serve as the focal technical resource for maintaining and institutionalising DHIS2 across the province.
• Support the Department of Health, Nutrition Directorate and partners to ensure data quality, completeness, timeliness and utilisation.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, automated reports and analytical products for decision‑making.
• Coordinate with UNICEF programme sections and government counterparts to ensure interoperability of DHIS2 with other digital platforms.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, system optimisation and performance monitoring.
• Integrate CFCI, Polio ISD and other UNICEF datasets with DHIS2 where feasible.
• Create consolidated reporting mechanisms to monitor progress, identify gaps and aid programme planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience with DHIS2 or similar health information systems.
• Experience working with government health departments and UN agencies.
• Strong analytical abilities and a track record of improving data quality and utilisation.
• Ability to develop dashboards and automated reporting tools.
• Excellent coordination skills for multi‑sectoral initiatives.
