Information Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Information Security Engineer to protect our IT infrastructure, applications, networks, and sensitive data from security threats. You will identify vulnerabilities, implement controls, monitor alerts, and ensure compliance with security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and improve security controls across systems, networks, applications, and infrastructure.
• Identify vulnerabilities through assessments, reviews, and authorized penetration testing.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and assist in incident response.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, endpoint protection, antivirus, and IDS/IPS tools.
• Perform security assessments of applications, APIs, servers, and network infrastructure.
• Support access control, IAM, MFA, secure configurations, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Assist with risk assessments, audits, and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in information security or related role.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux security.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, Nmap, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.

• Operating system security for Windows and Linux.
• Vulnerability assessment tools: Nessus, Nmap, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP.
• Security incident handling and log analysis.
• IAM, MFA, authentication, authorization, encryption.
• SIEM platforms: Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar.
• Cloud security basics for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Security frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls.
• Scripting/automation with Python, PowerShell, Bash.
