Information Technology Support Officer

About the role

Akber Ali & Sons (A&S) is seeking a full‑time Information Technology Support Officer to work on‑site in Karachi. You will be the first point of contact for employees needing assistance with desktops, printers and related IT systems, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktop computers and printers.
• Install, configure and update operating systems, applications and peripheral devices.
• Maintain incident logs, track resolutions and generate reports for senior technical staff.
• Coordinate with vendors and senior IT personnel for escalated problems.
• Apply company security standards and protect data integrity.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in an industrial or equipment‑focused environment is a plus.
