Instruments Engineer – Maintenance

About the role

The Instruments Engineer – Maintenance will lead the operation and upkeep of instrumentation systems across our plant, ensuring reliable performance and compliance with safety and quality standards. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and procurement teams to deliver efficient, cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain instrumentation assets such as transmitters, analyzers, control valves, PLC/DCS, SCADA, sensors and field instruments.
• Support design, modification and commissioning of new instrumentation projects, managing timelines and budgets.
• Evaluate critical spare parts, prepare requisitions and coordinate with procurement to secure needed inventory.
• Manage contractors for instrumentation work, evaluate bids and ensure technical compliance.
• Guide and train Instruments Technicians, fostering teamwork and skill development.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, EHS standards and ISO requirements.
• Identify and implement energy‑saving and process‑optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to maintain smooth operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Industrial Engineering or related technology.
• Minimum 2 years of operation & maintenance experience in petro‑chemical, fertilizer, process, food or cement industries.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and automation O&M, calibration, loop checking and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP), Lean Six Sigma, MS Office and CMMS tools.
• Understanding of international EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO and food‑safety standards.
