International Accounts Supervisor

About the role

SMB Services is looking for a detail‑oriented International Accounts Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and support financial reporting for its US‑based clients. The role combines hands‑on bookkeeping, compliance with International GAAP, and team leadership in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting and bookkeeping activities, ensuring accurate records in QuickBooks or Xero.
• Prepare, review and deliver financial statements, reports and supporting schedules on schedule.
• Monitor cash flow, revenues and expenses, analyse variances and recommend improvements.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger and other key balances.
• Ensure compliance with International GAAP and relevant tax regulations.
• Guide and support a small team of accountants, maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.
• Identify process gaps and implement efficiency enhancements.
• Coordinate with international clients to address queries and maintain smooth communication.
• Assist audit teams by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries.
• Provide financial insights to internal teams for strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• ACCA qualification (part‑qualified, finalist or fully qualified).
• 6–8 years of accounting experience, preferably with international clients, BPO or audit firms.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership and team‑coordination abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
