Islamiat Subject Specialist

About the role

The Islamiat Subject Specialist will join the Khairpur campus of Pak‑Turk Maarif International Schools and Colleges on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The role focuses on delivering engaging Islamiat lessons that blend traditional Islamic teachings with the contemporary needs of students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Islamiat lessons in line with the school curriculum and educational standards.
• Design and administer formative and summative assessments, record student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate academic records and support students requiring additional guidance.
• Collaborate with school administration and fellow teachers on curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
• Participate in professional development activities, departmental meetings and co‑curricular programs that promote ethical values and Islamic character.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Islamiat, including Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic history and contemporary Islamic thought.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Islamic Studies, Islamiat, Education or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Prior teaching experience in Islamiat at school or college level; experience in an international or networked school system is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Urdu and other local languages is an advantage.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, professional integrity and holistic student development.

Required skills

• Ability to use basic educational technology tools for lesson planning, teaching and record‑keeping.
