IT Security Officer – Systems Administration

About the role

The IT Security Officer will safeguard our network infrastructure, ensure compliance, and support users across Contour’s Pakistan offices. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work on‑premises and in virtual environments to protect critical data and maintain business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development team to meet security initiatives and project timelines.
• Draft, maintain, and disseminate security policies and procedures.
• Create and update incident action, backup, and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Design, deploy, and manage on‑premises and virtual servers, including CDN, DNS, routing, and recovery vaults.
• Monitor security alerts, analyse incidents, and respond promptly.
• Develop scripts and perform QA testing to automate security tasks.
• Administer user accounts, authentication methods, and control data access.
• Continuously monitor for adverse events and coordinate business‑continuity responses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience as a systems administrator or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• Willingness to work the 3 PM – 12 AM Pakistan time shift.
