IT Support Officer

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Officer to assist in maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure of our production units in Sialkot. This entry‑level position is ideal for a recent graduate with basic IT knowledge who wants to develop skills in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor firewalls, WiFi access points, LAN and WAN connectivity and help maintain 99.9% network uptime.
• Assist with basic VLAN, subnetting and VPN configuration and report ISP link issues.
• Perform routine checks on Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and Linux servers (Ubuntu/CentOS).
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and printer issues on production terminals, barcode printers and floor PCs.
• Support basic ERP client issues on the production floor and coordinate with senior staff and vendors.
• Respond to IT tickets related to printers, scanners and machine connectivity.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of IT assets such as switches, routers, access points and printers.
• Review firewall logs, report anomalies and help implement backup and recovery procedures for production data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (mandatory).
• 0–1 year of experience (internships or fresh graduates welcome).
• Willingness to learn, strong teamwork and communication skills, and ability to work under supervision.

Required skills

• Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WiFi and basic firewall concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS).
• Experience with VLAN, subnetting and VPN configuration.
• Hardware, software and printer troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ERP modules (inventory, production) and basic client support.
• Network monitoring and backup/recovery procedures.
