JavaScript Frontend Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a JavaScript Frontend Engineer to join a leading IT services and consulting firm on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining user‑facing features for a global talent‑access and AI‑driven workflow platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful or GraphQL APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
• Implement responsive and accessible UI components that follow the design system.
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest, Cypress or React Testing Library.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain code quality, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Proven experience building user‑facing features for web platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Strong attention to code quality and documentation.

Required skills

• JavaScript, TypeScript
• React (or similar) and state‑management libraries such as Redux or Context API
• Responsive design, CSS methodologies
• Build tools like Webpack or Vite
• RESTful and GraphQL API integration
• Testing frameworks: Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library
• Git version control
