Junior Accountant (Canadian Tax) – Onsite

About the role

Bestax is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support its Canadian tax and accounting services. You will work onsite with a team of qualified professionals, handling routine tax filings and bookkeeping for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns for Canadian clients.
• Assist with GST/HST, payroll tax filings and other routine submissions.
• Support basic tax planning to help reduce client liabilities.
• Stay current with Canadian tax regulations and CRA requirements.
• Review financial data to ensure accurate tax calculations and handle basic tax notices.
• Maintain bookkeeping records and generate financial reports.
• Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and ensure quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in Canadian taxation and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations, and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
