Lead Infrastructure Administrator (DC Integration)

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Infrastructure Administrator to design, operate, and optimise complex enterprise infrastructure spanning on‑premises data centres and multiple public clouds. The role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer‑facing and vendor‑management capabilities, ensuring reliable, scalable services for mission‑critical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer heterogeneous OS environments (Linux, AIX, Windows) across production and non‑production systems.
• Manage enterprise storage platforms (Dell, HP, Huawei) – provisioning, performance tuning, lifecycle management.
• Design, implement and operate backup and data‑protection solutions (Networker, PPDM, Veritas, Veeam, DataDomain).
• Plan, execute and validate disaster‑recovery drills to meet RTO/RPO targets.
• Perform capacity planning and performance optimisation for compute, storage and network layers.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on OCI, AWS and Azure, including migrations and cost governance.
• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, OCP‑V, KVM, Nutanix) and container platforms (RedHat OpenShift, SUSE Rancher).
• Lead vendor escalations, enforce SLAs and coordinate support engagements.
• Serve as senior point of contact for customers, providing technical guidance and incident resolution.
• Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks and operational standards; mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive enterprise infrastructure administration experience.
• Proven track record in leading DR operations, capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Strong customer‑facing communication and vendor‑management skills.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., RedHat, VMware, cloud provider) are a plus.
