About the role

The Lead SDET will design, develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks for web, mobile, desktop, API and micro‑services applications. This senior position requires deep expertise in software testing, automation, and development, and will work remotely across Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and enhance scalable, reusable test automation frameworks (data‑driven, keyword‑driven, hybrid, BDD).
Create and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, desktop, API and micro‑services.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and analyze failures to improve reliability.
Perform database validation using SQL and NoSQL databases.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Agile ceremonies to identify quality risks early.
Develop test strategies, plans and quality metrics; mentor junior engineers.
Support performance, load, stress and basic security testing.

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
15+ years of experience in software testing, test automation and software development.
Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and mentoring skills.

Required skills

Programming languages: Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift.
Test automation frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Robot Framework.
API testing tools: Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, Newman, GraphQL testing.
Unit testing frameworks: JUnit, TestNG, NUnit, xUnit, PyTest.
BDD frameworks: Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave.
CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
Version control: Git, GitHub, Azure Repos, Bitbucket.
Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB.
Cloud & container platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes.
Performance testing tools: JMeter, k6, Gatling.
Test management tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray.
