Lecturer Fashion Design

About the role

The University of Southern Punjab (USP) is hiring a full-time, on-site Lecturer in Fashion Design based in Multan. The lecturer delivers lectures, studio sessions and workshops across undergraduate and/or postgraduate fashion design programmes, and works within a student-centred, progressive academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, studio sessions and workshops across undergraduate and/or postgraduate fashion design programmes.
• Develop and update course outlines and prepare teaching materials.
• Supervise projects and portfolios and guide students through design processes from concept to final garment or collection.
• Assess student work, give constructive feedback and take part in curriculum review.
• Maintain alignment with current industry trends and academic standards.
• Additional duties may include advising students, taking part in departmental meetings and committees, contributing to exhibitions or fashion shows, and supporting research or scholarly activities in fashion and design.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of fashion design principles, including concept development, garment construction, pattern making and textiles.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching, mentoring or studio-based instruction, preferably at university or college level.
• Strong curriculum planning, assessment and academic advising skills, with the ability to support diverse learners.
• Awareness of contemporary fashion trends, sustainable practices and industry standards, and the ability to integrate them into teaching.
• Commitment to ethical practice, student-centred teaching and continuous professional development.
• Master's degree in Fashion Design or a closely related discipline; a higher qualification or significant professional industry experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Fashion illustration and technical drawing.
• Use of design software or digital tools relevant to fashion design.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to academic teams.
