Legal Counsel Litigation - Contractual

About the role

The Legal Counsel Litigation provides expert legal advice and manages all litigation matters for Jazz and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the role involves handling civil, criminal, tax, labour, commercial and regulatory disputes across courts, regulatory bodies and government offices.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities as required.
• Draft, review and respond to legal notices, complaints and other court documents.
• Prepare written statements, applications and para‑wise comments for litigation.
• Appear with external counsel in courts, police stations, FIA, PTA and other government offices.
• Coordinate information sharing between peer departments and external counsel.
• Review, draft and endorse legal agreements, SLAs and process related invoices.
• Provide legal advice on statutes, regulations, licences and contracts.
• Represent Jazz and its subsidiaries (LDNT, LDNP, DEODAR, VGSP, Jazz Foundation) before courts and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain litigation records, update portals and prepare regular reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience handling court cases in high courts, labour courts and regulatory authorities.
• Proven ability to review pleadings, draft legal notices and prepare applications.
• Experience dealing with law‑enforcement agencies.
• Bar at Law / LLM / LLB degree; corporate legal experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
