Level 1 Network Operations Center Engineer

About the role

Arm Network Solutions is expanding its network engineering team and is hiring a Level 1 Network Operations Center Engineer to support client networks from Islamabad, Pakistan. The team supports clients with demanding service-level agreements, including large enterprises. The position is based in Islamabad and requires responsive coverage during assigned shifts and the ability to manage ticket volume as business needs change.

Key responsibilities

• Provide network support and assist with monitoring and troubleshooting client network issues.
• Support field technicians with remote network troubleshooting and guidance.
• Work with networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba and TrendNet.
• Respond promptly throughout assigned shifts and manage a high volume of support tickets when required.
• Provide overtime and holiday coverage when needed.
• Complete security or law-enforcement clearance checks if requested.

Required profile

• 3-7 years of experience in a similar network operations or support environment.
• Hands-on network troubleshooting and client support skills.
• Ability to provide responsive support during assigned shifts and manage tickets under demanding service-level agreements.
• Availability for overtime and holiday coverage.
• If remote work is approved, ability to maintain reliable, high-speed internet suitable for a VDI environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with networking equipment from Cisco, Juniper, Aruba or TrendNet.
• CCNA certification is highly preferred; comparable industry-recognized networking certifications are welcome.

The company is based in Arkansas, USA and expects to hire at least 3-4 people in the Islamabad/Rawalpindi area, with the hiring process starting around late November or early December. The pay is described as highly competitive compared with local opportunities in Pakistan.
