Senior Manager - Networks (Active)

About the role

Fortek is looking for an accomplished Senior Manager - Networks (Active) to lead its Networks domain in a high-growth ICT infrastructure design and integration environment. The role covers data center active networking, enterprise LAN/WAN, network security, SD-WAN and managed services/SLA portfolios, and acts as the highest technical authority in the domain, reporting to the line manager and engaging directly with C-level and IT leadership. The position is based at the head office in Islamabad, with nationwide travel to project and client sites required.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Networks (Active) domain end-to-end: strategy, architecture, presales, delivery, managed services and talent development.
• Define and maintain the technology roadmap for data center active networking, enterprise LAN/WAN, network security and SD-WAN.
• Review and sign off HLDs, LLDs, BoQs and major technical proposals, and give executive-level technical guidance to customers and project teams.
• Lead design, deployment and commissioning of data center networks (spine/leaf, VXLAN/EVPN, ToR switching, DCI, server and storage connectivity).
• Oversee enterprise networking, campus and branch infrastructure, and network security (NGFW, VPN, IPS/IDS, NAC).
• Manage SD-WAN platforms, WAN migration strategies and SLA-based path selection.
• Represent the domain in commercial discussions, bid/no-bid decisions and OEM/vendor tier advancement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (Electrical, Telecom, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, HEC recognized); Master's preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in enterprise and data center networking.
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise/Data Center mandatory; CCIE strongly preferred; other certifications listed as an advantage.
• Nationwide travel flexibility and strong client-facing leadership.

Required skills

• Data center networking: Cisco Nexus, HPE Aruba CX, Juniper QFX, Huawei CE, ACI, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP-EVPN, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, WiFi controllers.
• Network security: Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco FTD/ASA, Check Point, SSL VPN, 802.1X, NAC.
• SD-WAN: Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, Cisco SD-WAN, Aruba EdgeConnect.
• Monitoring and automation: SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Ansible, Wireshark, MS Visio, Confluence, Jira.
