Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Maintenance & Servicing

About the role

We are a leading aviation organization seeking an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer to perform routine aircraft maintenance and servicing while ensuring full compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards. The role is critical to maintaining airworthiness, minimizing operational disruptions, and supporting a safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine aircraft maintenance and servicing in line with manufacturer and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with approved technical documentation and the latest maintenance revisions.
• Conduct troubleshooting, component replacement, and defect rectification efficiently.
• Manage aircraft arrivals and departures to maximise ground‑time and reduce delays.
• Maintain serviceable tools, equipment and resources.
• Uphold high standards of safety, housekeeping and FOD prevention.
• Support cost optimisation through effective spares handling and maintenance planning.
• Complete accurate maintenance reports and technical documentation.
• Coach, mentor and support junior engineers and trainees.
• Participate in training programmes and maintain required approvals and certifications.
• Assist with operational duties such as AOG recovery and out‑station assignments.

Required profile

• National/Higher National Diploma or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
• UAE GCAA / ICAO Type II / JAR 66 License with type rating on at least two Emirates aircraft types.
• Minimum 5 years of certifying experience as a licensed engineer in an aviation maintenance environment.
• Strong understanding of aircraft legislation, maintenance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in safety‑sensitive environments and adapt to operational needs.
• Airport driving permit and willingness to travel for operational deployments.
