Managed Pressure Drilling Supervisor

About the role

The Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Supervisor will be based on‑site in Pakistan, leading MPD operations for drilling projects. This full‑time position coordinates planning, execution and continuous improvement of MPD activities while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and project performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and optimise MPD operations on active wells.
• Monitor well parameters and manage pressure‑control equipment such as choke manifolds and control systems.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and adjust drilling parameters to meet project objectives.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation, conduct pre‑job and post‑job reviews.
• Mentor MPD technicians and junior staff on best practices and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with drilling, well engineering, field service teams and client representatives.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in managed pressure drilling, well control and pressure management.
• Hands‑on field experience with MPD equipment and real‑time drilling data interpretation.
• Solid understanding of drilling engineering, well construction and downhole tools, preferably on‑shore.
• Proven ability to lead on‑site multidisciplinary crews and communicate clearly with clients and contractors.
• Knowledge of HSE standards, risk assessment and incident prevention in drilling environments.
• Relevant certifications such as IWCF or IADC Well Control and MPD‑specific training are highly desirable.
• Diploma or degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
