Manager Accounting and Reporting

About the role

Shifa International Hospitals Limited is seeking a Manager Accounting and Reporting to lead its finance function. The role will ensure accurate period‑end close, compliance with IFRS, and support the hospital’s strategic financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead period‑end close activities across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets.
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Establish, monitor and strengthen accounting controls, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through timely reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including journal entry review and approval.
• Prepare quarterly, half‑yearly and annual separate and consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Manage Fixed Assets processes, ensuring proper capitalization and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during reviews and audits.
• Liaise with insurance companies for policy renewal and management.
• Lead ERP implementation and digital transformation initiatives, including Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant with 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in a listed company.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Oracle EBS.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Fusion.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools and IFRS standards.
