Manager / AVP - Corporate Communication

About the role

HBFC is hiring a Manager / AVP for Corporate Communication in Karachi. The role plays an active part in shaping marketing strategies and building strong relationships with the target audience and key media outlets, while aligning brand perception with the organization's brand identity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise ATL and BTL activities in coordination with advertising agencies.
• Devise the annual advertising and publicity budget in line with business objectives.
• Prioritize media opportunities and prepare presentations, speeches, talking points and other external media relations materials.
• Cultivate and manage press relationships so that business events, products and public announcements receive coverage.
• Coordinate with the Press Information Department for regular advertisements and print campaigns.
• Handle non-paid communication such as press releases, articles, clarifications and rebuttals, and press events.
• Produce internal employee communications across electronic, print, video and face-to-face channels, including announcements, intranet content and presentations.
• Organize and manage internal company events, including town halls.

Required profile

• Masters or Bachelor's degree (16 years of equivalent education) in Marketing, Corporate/Mass Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience after qualification, preferably in the financial sector.
• Age of 45 years or less by the last date of application.

• Proficiency in internal and external communications, media relations and stakeholder management.
• Experience handling sensitive information and complex communications.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Expertise in managing social media platforms, digital communication tools and media relations.
