Manager Financial Reporting

About the role

The Manager Financial Reporting leads the end‑to‑end financial close and reporting process for a telecom organization, ensuring accurate, timely results and compliance with IFRS and group policies. Reporting to the Head of Record to Report, the role oversees a six‑member team and collaborates across business divisions and subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close cycles, delivering complete and timely results.
• Oversee accounting and reporting for all business units, subsidiaries and legal entities, ensuring IFRS and group policy compliance.
• Review General Ledger and revenue reporting, monitor KPIs and drive operational efficiency.
• Maintain a robust internal control environment, including SOX compliance and remediation of control gaps.
• Prepare and review group reporting packages, statutory statements, management reports and regulatory filings.
• Assess impact of new accounting standards, regulatory changes and business initiatives, coordinating implementation.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing schedules, documentation and resolving observations.
• Drive process improvement, standardisation and automation, especially within Oracle Fusion.
• Develop reporting automation, analytics and dashboard solutions.
• Build, coach and manage a high‑performing team, ensuring continuity and service excellence.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with full articles from a reputable audit firm.
• 6‑8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the telecom industry.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting processes and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
