Mechanical Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a global manufacturing leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design and optimise mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyse and test mechanical components and systems to meet project specifications.
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics and documentation using CAD software.
• Perform structural, thermal and fluid‑dynamics simulations to validate designs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure cost‑effective production and quality control.
• Conduct failure analysis and propose design improvements based on test results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with CAD tools and simulation software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
• AutoCAD.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
