Medical Officer (Male and Female) - Kurram District

About the role

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society Merged Areas is recruiting three male and three female medical officers for its Kurram District office. The project lasts 5.5 months and reports to the PHNC / Program Manager. Local candidates are given preference. The main aim is to provide high-quality medical care, diagnose and treat conditions and promote preventive healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Work in line with the Red Cross and Red Crescent principles and the PRCS code of conduct.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and keep patient information confidential.
• Provide immediate care in emergencies and refer urgent cases when needed.
• Keep in close contact with the community and patients, and hold regular staff meetings.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to the line manager and follow senior management instructions.

Required profile

• MBBS degree with PMDC registration and one year of house job.
• At least one year of hospital experience with good clinical knowledge.
• Fluency in Urdu, Pashto and English (spoken and written).
• Age up to 45 years; willing to travel extensively to field locations for mobile health camps.
