Medical Scribe - Clinical Documentation Specialist (Female Only)

About the role

A healthcare facility in Karachi is looking for a Medical Scribe / Clinical Documentation Specialist to review patient medical records, support accurate coding and billing, and help improve the revenue cycle. The position is onsite, 40 hours per week, and is open only to female candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient medical records for accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Work with physicians, nurses and other clinical staff to clarify documentation in patient charts.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies or omissions in clinical documentation that could affect patient care or reimbursement.
• Educate providers on best practices for accurate documentation and coding requirements.
• Support coding staff so that clinical documentation supports accurate coding and billing for procedures, diagnoses and treatments.
• Ensure documentation complies with healthcare laws, including Medicare, Medicaid and private-payer guidelines.
• Track and report KPIs such as accuracy rates and reimbursement trends, and assist in internal and external audits.
• Help optimise the revenue cycle through accurate documentation, coding and billing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Health Information Management or a related field.
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or Medical Scribe, preferably in a surgery or wound care setting.
• Availability for 40 hours per week, onsite, between 6 pm and 2 am or 7 pm and 3 am.
