Member of Technical Staff – Medical Research (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join a leading biotechnology research organization. This remote position focuses on designing and implementing advanced computational methods for medical data analysis, with the goal of translating research breakthroughs into practical diagnostic and therapeutic tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate machine‑learning models for medical imaging and clinical decision support.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers to turn research prototypes into scalable solutions.
• Publish research findings in high‑impact journals and present at scientific conferences.
• Optimize algorithms for accuracy, performance, and efficiency on large‑scale medical datasets.
• Contribute to internal tools and frameworks that accelerate research workflows.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with a medical focus.
• Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed medical or AI journals.
• Experience working in fast‑paced research environments and handling regulatory standards such as HIPAA and GDPR.

Required skills

• Python, R, or Julia programming.
• Machine learning and deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn.
• Medical imaging toolkits: ITK, SimpleITK, MONAI.
• Familiarity with DICOM and HL7 data standards.
