Member of Technical Staff - Medical Research (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join a leading biotechnology research organization. The position is fully remote and focuses on designing and implementing computational methods for medical data analysis, with the goal of advancing diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate machine learning models for medical imaging analysis and clinical decision support.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers to translate research into scalable solutions.
• Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences.
• Optimize algorithms for performance, accuracy, and efficiency on large‑scale medical datasets.
• Contribute to internal tools and frameworks that accelerate research workflows.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with a medical focus.
• Proven expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling applied to medical data.
• Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed medical or AI research journals.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., DICOM, HL7) and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced research environment with iterative development cycles.
