Member of Technical Staff – Medical Research (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join a leading biotechnology research organization. The position is fully remote and focuses on designing and implementing advanced computational methods for medical data analysis, with the goal of translating research into diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate machine‑learning models for medical imaging and clinical decision support.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers to turn research prototypes into scalable tools.
• Publish research findings in high‑impact journals and present at scientific conferences.
• Optimize algorithms for accuracy, performance, and efficiency on large‑scale medical datasets.
• Contribute to internal frameworks and tools that accelerate research workflows.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with a medical focus.
• Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed AI or medical research journals.
• Experience working in fast‑paced research environments and handling regulatory standards such as HIPAA or GDPR.

Required skills

• Python, R, Julia programming.
• Machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling.
• TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn.
• Medical imaging toolkits: ITK, SimpleITK, MONAI.
• Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards.
