Member - Tax Advisory and Compliance

About the role

Baig Law Associates, which offers tax advisory and compliance, accounting and financial reporting, corporate formation and compliance, and trademark and copyright registration, is hiring a Member. This is a full-time, on-site position in the Karachi Division. The Member assists in delivering tax advisory and compliance services, supports accounting and financial reporting tasks, and contributes to corporate formation and compliance documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review client correspondence
• Prepare working papers and organize case files
• Coordinate with senior team members on client engagements
• Research legal and regulatory issues and support trademark and copyright registration processes
• Respond to practical and technical client queries under supervision
• Collaborate with colleagues, follow firm procedures and maintain confidentiality

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
• Relevant internships or prior experience in professional services are an advantage
• Strong foundation in tax, accounting or corporate law, with the ability to apply relevant regulations and standards
• Ability to research legal, tax and regulatory issues and summarize findings clearly
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing case files, deadlines and multiple assignments
• Ethical mindset, respect for client confidentiality and a service-oriented approach

Required skills

• Solid written and verbal communication skills for client documents, reports and internal correspondence
• Comfort with basic office software such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentations, and willingness to learn specialized tools
