Lead, Compliance and Litigation

About the role

foodpanda, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is hiring a Lead, Compliance and Litigation for its Lahore office. The role leads the legal team, gives strategic updates to senior leadership on legal matters and runs legal risk assessments across business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Lahore legal team and give strategic updates to senior leadership on legal matters
• Conduct legal risk assessments across business operations
• Formulate and manage litigation strategies, oversee external counsel, case progression, cost management and legal outcomes
• Ensure statutory compliance, manage sensitive law enforcement inquiries, develop compliance policies and liaise with regulators and external partners
• Draft non-templated agreements and give official legal opinions on complex commercial and regulatory matters
• Mentor legal team members, monitor regulatory changes and ensure consistent application of legal standards

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree required; LLM or relevant post-graduate diploma preferred
• 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate litigation, regulatory compliance or legal counsel, preferably in a multinational, tech platform or reputable law firm
• Sound understanding of local statutory frameworks, compliance regimes and protocols for sensitive law enforcement inquiries
• Strong leadership, decision-making, stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills
