Microbiologist

About the role

Mektum Homoeo Pharma is seeking a full‑time Microbiologist to join its quality‑focused laboratory team in Karachi. You will ensure the safety and compliance of raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished homeopathic medicines through rigorous microbiological testing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize culture media and reagents for routine and specialized tests.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment such as incubators, autoclaves, and bioreactors.
• Document test results accurately and maintain traceable records in accordance with SOPs.
• Support environmental monitoring of production areas and investigate any deviations.
• Assist quality control and production teams with process improvements, validation activities, and compliance audits.
• Update laboratory procedures and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life‑science field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across functions.
• Experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or homeopathic manufacturing environment is an advantage.
