Microsoft 365 Administrator

About the role

A Managed Services Provider (MSP) is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Microsoft 365 Administrator to help deliver day-to-day administration and support of client Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. The role suits candidates with a foundational understanding of Microsoft 365, cloud security and Azure who want to grow their technical skills in a professional IT services setting. You will work closely with senior engineers on more complex issues.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
• Create and manage user accounts, groups, licenses, mailboxes and permissions in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Help configure and support MFA, Conditional Access policies and RBAC.
• Support Microsoft Defender, email security, security alerts and security policies.
• Provide basic Microsoft Intune support, including device enrollment, compliance policies and endpoint management.
• Assist with basic Azure administration, including VMs, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Azure Backup.
• Monitor and troubleshoot incidents and service requests through ticketing systems, and handle password resets, license assignments, mailbox permissions and user onboarding/offboarding.
• Follow security procedures and MSP best practices, document troubleshooting steps and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
• Communicate professionally with clients and give timely updates on support requests.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Ability to troubleshoot common Microsoft 365 and cloud issues.
• Strong communication, documentation and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn new Microsoft technologies and follow established procedures.
• Ability to work in an MSP and ticket-based support environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Intune, Defender, MFA, Conditional Access and RBAC.
• Basic Azure knowledge; AVD and Azure Backup are an advantage.
• Basic PowerShell knowledge is an advantage.
