Mobile App Development Manager

About the role

The Mobile App Development Manager will own K‑Electric’s mobile application portfolio, driving the design, development, and modernization of key consumer‑facing apps. This role ensures secure, high‑performing, and user‑centric mobile solutions that support digital transformation and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, and debug scalable features using Flutter, React Native, Xamarin, and native Swift/Kotlin, ensuring consistent functionality across iOS and Android.
• Architect secure local databases (SQLite, Realm) and synchronization logic for offline resilience.
• Translate micro‑services designs into mobile architecture, optimizing API interaction and client‑side resource handling.
• Lead UI/UX engineering, using Material Design and Apple HIG, and profile performance with Xcode Instruments and Android Studio Profiler.
• Implement mobile security controls, including encryption, OAuth 2.0, and OWASP Mobile Top 10 compliance.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, automated testing suites, and app store submission processes.
• Coordinate with backend, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to align releases and resolve technical dependencies.
• Mentor and supervise the mobile development team, fostering technical growth and coding standards.

Required profile

• 8+ years of IT experience with at least 6 years in mobile application development (native and cross‑platform).
• 4+ years of modern UI/UX experience (Jetpack Compose, Material Design, Apple HIG).
• 3+ years focused on mobile security and compliance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
