Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician

About the role

Sync Sound LLC, operating as SYNC SOUND TELECOM, offers a full-time remote Network Operations Center (NOC) position focused on monitoring and maintaining telecom network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. The role is based in a remote setting and involves observing network health through monitoring tools, identifying incidents and responding promptly to alarms and service interruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Daily diagnosis of network issues and basic to intermediate troubleshooting
• Escalating complex problems to senior engineers when needed
• Documenting incidents, changes and resolutions
• Collaborating with technical support and network administration teams
• Following established procedures and service level agreements
• Participating in scheduled maintenance windows
• Supporting capacity and performance analysis and helping improve operational processes

Required profile

• Experience in NOC environments and computer network operations
• Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills
• Effective written and verbal communication and collaboration with distributed teams
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures and documentation standards
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA, and prior telecom or service provider experience, are beneficial

Required skills

• Network administration: basic configuration, monitoring and maintenance of network devices and services
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools, incident management systems and ticketing platforms
• Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls) and common telecom concepts
