NodeJS Developer

About the role

Krank Tech is looking for a NodeJS Developer to build and maintain backend services for its asset lifecycle management platform. Based in Karachi, you will work with a product team delivering APIs and integrations that power inspections, auctions, rentals, and equipment disposal workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend APIs using NodeJS and the NestJS framework.
• Integrate MongoDB for high‑volume unstructured data and MySQL for transactional workflows.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale services on AWS (EC2 or Lambda).
• Collaborate with frontend developers to provide data for web interfaces built with HTML and CSS.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and manage version control with Git.
• Support third‑party service integrations and troubleshoot production issues.
• Design database schemas for both NoSQL and relational data models.
• Participate in sprint planning, effort estimation, and automated testing of critical endpoints.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with NestJS in production.
• Strong proficiency in NodeJS, including asynchronous programming patterns.
• Experience integrating MongoDB and MySQL in live applications.
• Practical knowledge of deploying applications on AWS infrastructure.
• Ability to work with frontend teams using basic HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with Git workflows in a collaborative environment.
