OCI Network Engineer – Cloud Architecture & Security

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer to design, build and secure a scalable OCI landing zone. The role focuses on end‑to‑end architecture, network security services and high‑availability implementations for cloud workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Assess business and security requirements and create a complete OCI architecture and deployment plan.
• Build the landing zone, including tenancy structure, compartments, IAM policies, tagging and governance.
• Design and deploy networking components such as VCNs, subnets, routing, DRGs, security lists and Network Security Groups.
• Implement and configure OCI‑native or third‑party firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortigate) and Web Application Firewalls with HA, traffic inspection and failover.
• Establish secure connectivity using VPN and FastConnect, and configure load balancers and logging/monitoring.
• Validate connectivity, security policies and failover through testing and deliver documentation and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Strong architectural knowledge of OCI networking, compute, storage, identity, security and governance.
• Hands‑on experience designing and deploying OCI landing zones from requirements to production handover.
• Proven experience with firewalls, WAFs and high‑availability network designs.

Required skills

• OCI networking components (VCN, subnets, DRG, routing, security lists, NSG).
• Firewall solutions (Palo Alto, Fortigate) and Web Application Firewall configuration.
• Hybrid connectivity (VPN, FastConnect).
• IAM, tagging, governance, logging and monitoring in OCI.
