Operations Support Associate (Healthcare)

About the role

MCG Technologies is hiring an Operations Support Associate (Healthcare) in Islamabad, reporting to the Operations Supervisor. Working onsite from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM, the associate acts as the main point of contact for patients, handling patient registration, appointment scheduling and insurance coordination so that care runs smoothly and patients feel well looked after.

Key responsibilities

• Answer appointment requests, phone calls, emails and messages; greet patients professionally and resolve their queries promptly.
• Register patients for appointments, procedures and hospital admissions, and schedule, reschedule and confirm appointments in the health record system.
• Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information, and coordinate exams, procedures and tests.
• Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorisations, explain benefits, and collect and process co-pays, deductibles and other payments accurately.
• Work with clinical and administrative teams to keep patient flow smooth and maintain accurate patient records.
• Keep patient information confidential in line with HIPAA and organisational policies, and follow healthcare regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or a related field.
• Prior experience in healthcare administration, patient registration or customer service is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes and health record systems is a plus.
