Packaging Associate

About the role

As a Packaging Associate you will support the execution of packaging projects and initiatives at the factory level, ensuring compliance with Nestlé packaging policies and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support packaging projects and factory trials for new products, packaging changes and optimisation of existing packaging, focusing on line performance, cost efficiency, timely delivery and product quality.
• Provide packaging input for new product introductions and improvement projects by evaluating suitable packaging alternatives and supporting cross‑functional project teams.
• Plan, execute and document factory trials, including machinability, shelf‑life, storage, handling, laboratory and transport tests to validate new packaging materials and specification changes.
• Maintain packaging material specifications and related records in the GLOBE database, ensuring information remains accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze packaging‑related consumer complaints, identify root causes and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or a related discipline.
• Interest in packaging development, manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical improvements.
• Ability to coordinate projects and work effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Procurement and external suppliers.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline and commitment to safety, quality and compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with packaging specifications, databases or continuous‑improvement tools (advantageous).
