Paralegal – Probate Specialist

About the role

Savvital is looking for a highly organized and proactive Paralegal specializing in probate to support a California‑based law firm. You will work closely with attorneys to draft legal documents, conduct research, manage court filings, and maintain professional client communication.

Key responsibilities

• Draft probate pleadings, petitions, motions and related legal documents.
• Conduct legal research to support probate matters.
• Review and respond to probate court notes and requests.
• Prepare and file supporting documentation for court filings.
• Manage court calendars, hearing dates, filing deadlines and case milestones.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with California probate procedures.
• Respond to client emails, conduct calls, and keep accurate records of interactions.
• Coordinate communication between attorneys, clients and external parties.
• Track case progress, follow up on pending matters and support additional administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification (preferred).
• Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
• Experience handling probate matters and California probate court procedures (strongly preferred).
• Experience supporting U.S. law firms, especially California firms (advantage).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with legal case management software.
