PEB Structure Engineer

About the role

Dong Jian Steel Structure (Pvt) Limited, which supplies pre-engineered steel buildings, steel fabrication and erection services, electric single-beam cranes, pre-painted sheet panels and PEB accessories, is looking for a PEB Structure Engineer. The engineer supports the design and engineering of steel building projects from initial requirements through fabrication and site erection. The posting describes this as an on-site engineering position based in Faisalabad, Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review structural designs, calculations, drawings and connection details for pre-engineered steel buildings.
• Coordinate building geometry, loads, framing systems, materials and interfaces with architectural and other engineering requirements.
• Prepare and check design documentation and shop drawings for accuracy, constructability and compliance with codes and project specifications.
• Work with drafting, fabrication and erection teams to resolve technical queries and address design changes.
• Review fabrication and site issues, recommend practical engineering solutions and keep clear project records.
• Support quality, safety and delivery objectives while coordinating with clients, suppliers and internal project teams.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in PEB design.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel design and pre-engineered building systems, including primary and secondary framing.
• Ability to perform structural analysis and design checks for dead, live, wind and other project loads.
• Understanding of steel grades, sections, bolted and welded connections, fabrication practices and erection methods.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, technical specifications, quality procedures and engineering documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural design and drafting tools such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD or comparable software.
• Experience preparing or reviewing structural calculations, general arrangement drawings, shop drawings and connection details.
• Problem-solving, coordination, communication and attention to detail; ability to work with fabrication and site teams.
