Pediatric Nurse – Patient Care & Emergency Support

About the role

The General Pediatric Nurse will deliver high‑quality nursing care to infants, children and adolescents in Karachi. Working in pediatric wards, outpatient departments and operating theatres, the nurse will assess patients, administer treatments and respond to emergencies with professionalism and compassion.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients and identify care needs.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments and vaccinations accurately.
• Provide emergency care following Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, document patient responses and promptly escalate concerns.
• Prepare patients and families for procedures with clear, empathetic communication.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in wards, outpatient areas and operating theatres.
• Educate parents on disease prevention, medication administration and follow‑up care.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing settings.
• Strong understanding of pediatric health conditions and treatment protocols.
• Ability to make independent decisions and prioritize patient needs.
• Excellent documentation skills and adherence to infection‑control standards.

Required skills

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
