Peer Review – Tourism Management

About the role

This is a long‑term, stable part‑time position that can be performed remotely. You will serve as a peer reviewer for manuscripts in the field of tourism management, ensuring scholarly quality and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submissions and determine whether they add new knowledge to tourism management.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Check that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions to confirm they are clearly presented and supported by data.
• Provide constructive, clear, and concise feedback, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
