Penetration Testing Senior Associate

About the role

PwC’s cybersecurity team protects organisations by identifying vulnerabilities and delivering proactive security solutions. As a Penetration Testing Senior Associate you will conduct simulated attacks to uncover weak spots in client systems and help strengthen their defenses.

Key responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing across various platforms and technologies to identify and exploit security flaws.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Stay current on emerging threats, technology trends, and industry best practices such as OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 20.

Required profile

• Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing or related cybersecurity work.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS).
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems.

Required skills

• Experience with security tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, OWASP ZAP.
• Ability to assess applications built on PHP, ASP, NodeJS and Java.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 20 and Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS).
• Hands‑on skills with Bash, Kali Linux and Microsoft Active Directory.
