Planning Engineer

About the role

SMEC is seeking a motivated Planning Engineer to join a key hydropower project in Peshawar. The role offers hands‑on experience in project planning, scheduling, and management for a high‑impact infrastructure initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using advanced planning tools.
• Collaborate with project teams to align timelines with execution plans.
• Analyze project progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on schedule performance for stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards in all planning activities.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (e.g., B.Sc in Civil Engineering).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling for large‑scale infrastructure or hydropower projects.
• Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
