Platform Manager - EstateX Proptech

About the role

Apex Group, a Lahore-based real estate company, is looking for an experienced Platform Manager to lead its proptech platform EstateX end-to-end. This is a high-impact, high-visibility leadership role reporting to the Founder & CEO, sitting at the intersection of product, technology and business operations. The manager owns the platform from architecture decisions to go-live delivery, manages a blended team of engineers, product specialists and operations staff, and is accountable for making EstateX Pakistan's most trusted proptech destination.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the product roadmap aligned with revenue goals and the Product go-live milestone, define architecture and technology stack, and translate business requirements into features and specs.
• Manage the feature backlog with agile/sprint methodology and lead a team including senior engineers, a product manager, developer partnerships, freelancers, UI/UX designer, data lead and platform ops.
• Run bi-weekly sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, recruit and onboard year-2 hires, and foster a delivery-focused engineering culture.
• Drive pre-launch workstreams, coordinate sales, marketing, finance, legal and compliance teams, and oversee onboarding of 500 third-party listings and 2,000+ verified users in Q1 post-launch.
• Oversee UAT, QA, security audits and regulatory compliance certification before go-live.
• Maintain platform uptime of at least 99.5%, own SLAs for integrations (payment gateways, CRM, property portals, APIs), set up monitoring, alerting and disaster recovery, and manage P1/P2 bug triage.
• Manage developer partners, community managers, compliance and verification functions, and the API partner ecosystem, including freelancers and vendors.
• Own the technology budget (vendors, SaaS, cloud, freelancers), track spend monthly within 5% of budget, and report to the CEO and Finance Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Pakistani digital and data regulations, oversee KYC, AML and property verification workflows, and coordinate regulatory filings with Legal.

Required profile

• 5+ years in product management, platform management or software project delivery.
• Proven track record of launching and operating a digital product or platform at scale.
• Experience managing cross-functional tech teams (engineering, product, QA, design).
• Experience in budget management and vendor contracting.
• Preferred: proptech, real estate technology, fintech or marketplace experience; familiarity with Pakistan's real estate regulatory landscape; exposure to BI and product analytics tools; experience scaling a product from zero to launch in a startup.
