Principal Software Engineer - Python

About the role

Creative Chaos is looking for a Principal Software Engineer specialized in Python to lead the development of server‑side applications and RESTful APIs. You will ensure high‑quality, secure, and performant code while mentoring a team of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing training and guidance.
• Analyze business requirements, estimate tasks, and write production‑ready code with unit tests.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, maintain issue‑tracking systems, and provide regular status updates.
• Optimize code for security and performance, fix bugs, and manage version control.
• Research new technologies, upgrade skills, and evaluate candidates for open positions.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 6‑8 years of professional experience developing Python applications, preferably with Django.
• Strong understanding of security standards, compliance, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Experience with relational and schemaless databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
