Procurement Officer – Pharmaceutical/Healthcare

About the role

Vita Durare is seeking a dynamic Procurement Officer to lead sourcing, supplier management, and inventory planning within the regulated pharmaceutical and healthcare sector. The successful candidate will ensure cost‑effective procurement while maintaining quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct supplier sourcing, evaluation, selection and maintain a reliable supplier network.
• Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, evaluate quotations and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Generate and manage purchase orders with accurate specifications.
• Monitor stock levels, reorder points and support FEFO/FIFO principles to minimise shortages and excess inventory.
• Maintain approved supplier database, track performance and coordinate evaluations.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain complete procurement records and support finance in invoice verification.
• Collaborate with finance, stores, operations, sales and regulatory teams, communicating risks and lead times.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–4 years of procurement experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or medical devices sectors.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, sourcing and procurement documentation.
