Product Testing & Development Officer

About the role

The Testing Pod ensures that no payment‑operations change goes live broken and that any issue is resolved quickly. As the Product Testing & Development Officer you will own end‑to‑end testing for new products, corridors, partners and system releases across payout, processing, gateways and reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute and document test cases covering normal flow, edge cases, failure scenarios and rollback conditions.
• Validate changes in a live‑like environment, block go‑live when testing is incomplete, and monitor post‑go‑live stabilization periods.
• Maintain a standard testing checklist/SOP for each change type to ensure consistent, repeatable testing.
• Act as the Operations‑side counterpart to IT and PMO, reviewing requirements and technical specs for operational feasibility.
• Raise, prioritize and follow up on development tickets with IT/PMO on behalf of Processing and Payout teams.
• Attend UAT/release cycles, sign off on behalf of Operations and verify that fixes are truly resolved.
• Serve as intake point for recurring or unresolved issues, diagnose root causes and own the end‑to‑end resolution path.
• Maintain a single tracker covering testing activity, development requests and issue resolutions, and provide regular status updates to the Team Lead.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in QA/testing, product or business analysis, or payout/payment operations; exposure to UAT cycles is a strong plus.
